The massacre committed against the family of Mohammed Zahir, his wife, and children in the Al-Qusur neighborhood
Martyr Dr. Mohammed Zahir
Martyr Miss Faten Suleiman
Martyr Wadie Zahir (University student)
Martyr Jouli Zahir (Ninth grade)
I am Jouli Zahir’s friend. She and her family were martyred in the Banyas massacre – Al-Qusur neighborhood, on March 7 at noon.
The last contact between us, she told us: “They are in our building, pray for us…”
Since then, we could no longer talk to her, we kept calling but no one answered…
We asked their neighbors, they told us: “We saw their car leave…”
We thought they had left by car, but quickly realized they forgot their phones at home…
Unfortunately, later we received news that they were all killed and the car was stolen…
May God have mercy on Jouli, they stabbed her in the chest…
Dr. Mohammed was stabbed in the eye and killed…
Miss Faten, her mother, in the head…
And Wadie, her brother, also in the chest…
They are gone, like that… civilians, with no involvement in anything…
Indeed, to God we belong and to Him we shall return.
This crime embodies the recurring pattern in the Banyas massacres, where civilians are targeted inside their homes without accusation or trial, and subjected to severe violations including indiscriminate killing and looting. The killing of an entire family, including children, reflects the cruelty and inhumanity that accompanied these operations. These crimes do not expire with time, and the living testimonies and documents will remain present to hold the perpetrators accountable no matter how much time passes.
